In the shop: Looking for some new talent to join us at Periwinkle as we grow

The upcoming year is looking to be a very busy one for the shop and  I need a little extra help!

I am looking for someone to help out in the shop on a part time casual basis. This means the hours aren't regular and will vary between weekdays and weekends.  Some weeks I may ask for several afternoons or several days, other weeks I might not need you. Someone with other work or responsibilities that has a flexible schedule would be ideal as this isn't a full time position. As your experience and competence grows so will your hours and responsibilities- the more you know how to do the more I can have you do!

The work would be a mix of things, including:
 helping cut and clean the incoming flowers during heavy weeks
 prepping the shop ahead of events or holidays
 helping make arrangements for orders or for events
serving clients in the shop or by phone
wrapping up orders at busy times.
assisting with event delivery and set up

Floral experience isn't a must but does help.  I am willing to train you on the flower side if you have the interest and the creative spark that would make you a good fit for the work. Fluent spoken and written English is required.

What this is:
a great position if you've always wanted to get your foot in the door of the flower industry and want to learn in a creative and fun atmosphere.

What this is not:
this is NOT a full time NOR a regular part time position, this is occasional help only!  Hours will be varied and irregular. Please do not apply at this time if you are looking for full time work!
