Wedding ceremony backdrop behind the scenes

A little behind the scenes from one of our events this past weekend. This ceremony space is just a dream to work with- a blank white glowing box courtesy of event venue District 28 here in Toronto.

For the wedding of the lovely Katie and Adam we wanted to create a backdrop that had a bit of a rambling wildness to it while still keeping things romantic and contained.

This wedding was a fun one to set up as we got to use our favourite vine, Smilax, which we can only purchase in large quantities so isn't always a possibility for smaller event work. We attached gorgeous full and lush pieces of smilax vine to the back wall with white gaffers tape ( a floral trade secret!) + some clear oasis glue dots for the lighter pieces.  A big piece of the vision was giving the look some depth and dimension rather than just having the back wall drama, so we then added two harlow stands of different heights in front and taped more greenery and vines to them plus at the last minute added in the delicate and beautiful Quicksand roses, chablis spray roses and white lisianthus to add the full romantic vibe.
